A majestic eagle soars across a snowy Sedona, Arizona, landscape in a superbly carved wood sculpture by a local artisan. The image has been converted into colored pencil drawing to fully capture the free flight effect.

Photography is in the genes, it seems, and with the encouragement of my professional photographer grandfather, I began seeing the world through the lens of my first camera starting in 1950. Over the years I’ve been refining my “eye” through a wide variety of classes and seminars, learning new methods of expressing what I find appealing, sometimes in realism, and other times in fanciful abstraction. Several local and regional awards for my work have been very much appreciated and exceptionally motivating.
